About Us

Our team

Divergence Decoded is a team of two neurodivergent (autistic and ADHD) adults who use their life experience and education to help parents, teachers, family, and friends of autistic people better understand and connect with them.

Jaime A. Heidel

Jaime A. Heidel is an autistic communication translator, writer, and advocate for the autistic community and their families. 


Her book, "What Did I Do Wrong?" has helped thousands of readers better understand and relate to their autistic loved ones. 


She uses her personal neurodivergent experience and creative vision to help autistic and non-autistic people unravel lifelong misunderstandings, repair emotional wounds, and connect on a deeper level.

Katherine T. Lorelli

Katherine T. Lorelli is a former paraprofessional specializing in working with neurodivergent children with complex learning needs. 


Her experience in the field has made her a dynamic strategist and an expert in de-escalating distressing behaviors with patience, understanding, and care that centers the autistic person's unmet needs while also reducing caregiver stress and overwhelm.


She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development and Family Relations.
